ITS communication
network

ITS communication network is made of two parallel network infrastructures based on TCP/IP protocol.

In physical sense, these are the video system control network (automatic incident detection and video surveillance) and network for control of the rest of the elements necessary for highway functioning (traffic-information system, telephone call system, fire alarm system, system for control of ventilation, trafo-stations, lighting etc.)

ELEMENT SCHEME

  • 1. TMCC
  • 10Gbps Ethernet (optical cable)
  • 1 Gbps Ethernet (optical cable)
  • 100 Mbps Ethernet (SFTP Cat6)

In the terms of bandwidth, each of these networks is in its core 10 Gbps and it is realized via ring topology which provides necessary redundancy and access to all systems for highway control.
